That handle was a bit of a trade mark for them.
I used to have a Volkl Drive (Alloy with wood core and foam grip) that had the same handle. You could always see the cross section of the racket's construction.

The PS85 definitely has the feel and control. unfortunately, it was too demanding for me. I was shanking the ball quite a bit.

picked up a nice pro kennex silver ace at Goodwill this weekend for $5.50. I would say a 7.5 or maybe 8/10.
Now up to 31 racquets and counting!!

I really wanted to use yesterday (buy a couple of rackets). But, I called my sponsor and he talked me down off the ledge. :)

After a point, having more rackets becomes a burden. There are much worse things than collecting rackets though.

If you think you have too many rackets, you probably do.:)

The Silver Ace is a nice arm-friendly racquet. I used to have 3 of them. It offers great control and comfort, albeit low in power.

I broke down again. 4 stripe POG OS of fleabay for 9.99 + 5.95 shipping. The head guard is cracked but it has no chips in the paint and only a few tiny scrapes. After I replace the head guard it will be an 8.5. I now have two OS (4 stripe and Straight Shaft) and three 90s (Two 4 stripe and a Straight Shaft).

I have been trying to trim down my classic collection but not making significant progress. It's so hard to part with these beauties. I play with most but not all.

I'm trying to get rid of some rackets too............however, I just bought another 80 n.o.s. woodies.
I just can't help it, they were just staring at me.....with the plastic seals still around the crisp calfskin leather grips, the smell of old gathered dust........I just could not resist them!!
