Its indoors Roger. The ONLY condition that gets you a bit of an advantage on Nadal and Nadal's weakest surface. Stop the excuses

Federer tells the truth. It is unfair and biased towards Nadal.

Nadal gets a day off and he's just been 2 and a half hours with Del Potro, he's 32. So shush troll.

Do you guys know that Federer will be playing Nadal in less than 20 hours. Is that fair? He is 32 and his body, muscles, tendons need whole lot of time to recover.

Less than 20? That can't be. Even ATP can't be that much Nadal biased.

Are you sure he's 32? I've never read anything about his age before.

    Indoors is not a surface.

It's the courts surface speed and bounce that matters. Everyone has been saying that it is slower and bouncing higher this year.

Nadal would be undefeated if all indoors were on clay.

Nevertheless, Nadal should win because he's playing better these days. Indoors, outdoors, whatever surface.

It's funny how you always use the poor scheduling and tougher opponents for the reasons, as to why Sampras lost to Hewitt at the US Open 2001, yet the same excuse can't be used for Federer who is atm 2 years older than Sampras was then. Hypocrisy at it's finest.

You gotta play a best of 5 at the slams.. And before recently the USO final was played the day after the semis.

At the YEC, its only best of 3 now so you don't need to expend as much energy.

Not to mention, I don't care how old Fed is, Nadal is NOT a great indoors players at all. Like I said, No excuses

But thats what Fed fans do.. Make excuses. They have been making excuses for their hero since 2007 so I expect nothing less. From the age excuse (Fed has been an old dinosaur since he was 26 apparently), and now Poor Fed doesn't get a day off vs. a guy who with a 60-30 some off indoor record. ROFLMAO

Well everyone is wrong then. Just as quick and low bouncing as usual. And indoor conditions do make a difference.

Fed: stop being a whiner. Djoko doesn't have a day off either and will have much less recovery time after having to play the night session. How dare you whimper like a narcissistic fool when others have it worse than you? Shame on you. Man up for pete's sake.

But why is always Djokovic the one that got unfavorable schedules and difficult draws. This is happening constantly for years now.

Is a BAD thing no matter who it happens to. the ATP tour Barclays event schedule is quite uncool and a joke to be quite frank.. a shame that it can be better organised in this day and age!

I guess Nadal is the only one having the cakewalk draw and cakewalk scheduling. Extra rest for the SF, extra rest for the final.

It is always interesting how some people think there is some great scheduling conspiracy, with really no evidence what-so-ever.

Thanks for this post. Unbalanced scheduling happens every year at this event. Some years you get a better schedule and other years you get a worse one. Federer has shown he can win the event regardless of the schedule, so we will see how it goes tomorrow with Nadal.

I'm really hoping Federer can win this, but it will be tough.

How do you conclude that? It was shown that he got the day off before the semis in 2009, 2010, and 2011, but he made the semis many other years as well. If you are going to make a claim that he always got the day off, please post some evidence to back up your claim or it is worthless.

So? He does this time but he got the short end of the straw many times in the past. What's wrong with having a bit of luck on one's side for once? Or is it only OK when it's Fed who gets it? Every time he did Fed fans argued "well, it's normal the #1 has the best draw or schedule". Interesting how they're changing their mind now and crying scandal just because it's not Fed at the #1 spot anymore!

Actually I was wrong: they will both have exactly the same recovery time since Djoko plays the night match (I was assuming Fed/Nad would be prime time). Still, 0 reason for Fed to complain.

Whether you call it complaining or whining or excuses, the point still stands- less than 24 hours between matches is tough.

Maybe Rafa bites off his left-hand pinkie while brushing his teeth to even things up a bit...

    and ?
If federer is not fit anymore, why doesn't he just quit ? if you still play, it means you are fit, then no excuse.

Djokovic won the AO after playing 5 hours in SF and 6 hours in the final.
Nadal did in 2009 after a 5h30 match in the SF.
So Federer, be a man and come on the court today like a man.
