Just watching Lyon, and at the start of the match the stats stated Ljubicic as 175cm, 5'9..

Now I am 5'10 pushing 5'11, and always was disappointed that I never made 6 feet. But to see a guy with a great 1HBH hitting so many aces at 5'9 in today's game is great to see..

OK kid, you screwed this up. You should have at least checked the ATP profile for Ljubicic.

Anyway, Gilles Simon is 5'11" and Davydenko is 5'10". If those two aren't good enough for you, Andre Agassi was 5'11''. Proof that you don't need to worry too much about height. Instead, work on your strenghts. Why do you think Agassi is considered the greatest serve returner of all times? Because he practiced his serve a lot?

Agassi's serve was also not a weakness by the end of his career. He could hit 130's and his second serve was hard to attack.

Yeah, but none of those guys have a huge serve nor a great 1HBH, like Ljubicic does. That was the OP's point because he hits a 1HBH, so he thought there was still hope for a short guy to be able to have a huge serve and a great 1HBH.

Kohlschreiber has a great 1hbh imo. He is 5'10''. Tommy Robredo is using a 1hbh. He is 5'11''.

Another good example of someone who isn't tall but had a great serve and huge backhand: Justine Henin (5'6'').

I am 35. And I only wondered because the graphics at the start of the Lyon match stated him at 5'9. I was watching on my laptop, so it was hard to tell..

A short male tennis player in these times is very rare.

Since the game is getting much taller 6'4" is the new 5'9", who knows?

Hey genius, you don't read well do you?

I said it was in the graphics at the start of the match, and I was watching my laptop, so it was hard to tell the height of anyone..

Sheesh.. Do you guys just sit on these boards waiting for an opportunity to just say something smart. Or do you actually read a thread when you enter it?

Ljubicic is on vs Clement, who stopped Tsonga yesterday in a tight match (57 64 76)

Maybe they were talking about Clement. Clement seems like he could be 5'9'

You don't need to be tall to have a fast serve, Ben Becker is 5'10 and has cracked 140-something.
