I don't understand why ppl say rafa isn't a gud returner,just look at the stats!!

    The statistics are a little misleading. Rafa wins many return points because of his exceptional rallying ability after the service return has been made. I think people may be criticizing the actual return of service because Rafa has some trouble returning big servers like Isner and Soderling. He stands so far back that he's vulnerable to the wide serve.

    He was standing in Versailles against Isner and Belgium against Roger. In Monte Carlo he must have been wading in the English Channel.

    Just because he gets the ball back in play doesn't mean the return is effective. I think this is what most people mean. As the poster above said, statistics can be misleading.

    It's kind of like how Bud believes the higher % at net points you've won, the better the volleyer you are:grin:
