I recently started using X-one Biphase, and it is incredible by itself!!! I imagine using it in a hybrid setup would be awesome.

Did you put the Biphase on the mains or the crosses? Also, I just got 2 03 tours and was wondering what differences the plastic grommits make from the rubber ones or which ones you like?
sorry, kind of off topic, focus on the strings ;)

it'd be a great combo if the technifibre didn't break in less than 2 hours. :)

I've been using power rough(mains) and biophase 17 at 50/48 in RDS 001 mids and really like the spin, feel, power and comfort. I think both strings are too expensive however so the next experiment is to try Cyberflash 17 with some Prince syngut 17 that I have laying around here. I'm hoping that this will be reasonably close to what I'm using now. What do u guys think, wishful thinking?

An update. Well the prince syn gut didn't feel as nice(ie ball pocketing and power) as the biophase - I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Are any of you using biophase as a main?

may i ask what gauge you used? i currently used an all poly string bed with 18 gauge in them and ace feels grweat but the 18 gauge pro hurricane doesnt live up to my hopes for it. i was wondering how 18 gauge biphase plays and what gauge you guys recommend

Haha, don't worry. None of these guys are 5.5s. There are a few on these boards, definitely, and might be one of these guys, but I doubt it.

Sorry, I'm using bio 17 but it really softens up the string bed. My next plan is to use this as a main and cyberflash 17 in the crosses.

And then Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V came around. Thank God for Copy and Paste! otorrinolaringologo

Anyway, on topic, I've always been wary of that. I assume those are BiPhase mains? What excatly do the poly crosses give you that can't be done with synth gut crosses instead, strung at a higher tension?

Fed uses power rough crosses and gut mains. From what I gather the rough helps tame the lively gut a little. People here claim that biophase is about the closest to gut that a non-gut string can get. I'm using the rds 90 and feel that I need a power boost but don't feel like paying gut like prices. I've used bio as a cross and loved it but I'm unsure as a main. I'm not a string breaker and am an all court 5.0 att 48/46. Any advice on this?

Just try gut. The playability maintenance will make the natural gut
    much cheaper than premium multi's.
