I thought Safin used a synthetic grip because he didn't like the feel of leather?

The name printed on the inside was common for flexpoints.

No, for all his rackets, i saw his racket a couple months ago, so with the MG paint and his name was printed inside, not labeled but printed.

So how did you acquire this frame? Telling me what it is does not answer my question. You already told us that in your original post.

^^^^ Fake, that's not even close to being one of Marat's frames. Very sad to be attention seeking by pretending you got hold of a player's racquet, and even worse that you make it so blatant that you're lying by not giving any info at all. If you're gonna lie, go all out.

    This is NOT a PJ.
This is a TGK237.1. It is a MG Prestige MID, pro-stock version, DEFINITELY NOT a PJ of the PC600.

I doubt this is the stick that Safin played with, MAYBE just messing with it, or one of his coache's sticks.

Hope you did not pay for it the price of Safin's stick because it is NOT his stick.

Nevertheless, a great stick, worth a decent $$$

The first picture actually shows the TGK237.1, good stuff.
However, it is not a PJ of the PC600, just the same mold as the retail Prestige MID.
    vsbabolat, what's your comment?

Obviously none of us can 100% confirm that the frame is the op's pics ever belonged to Safin, but I was in Cincinatti this past week and watched safin practice and his frames had the TGK code inside the throat and his name was not printed on the throat anywhere...

He had 3 frames leaning up against the fence.....

The new butt-caps grey butt-cap have the stickers. Also Safin was using the old style black butt-caps in 2008 and early in 2009.

About what? Comparing the TGK237.1 to a racquet with the commercial writing on the inside of the throat?

Is that a "3" engraved in the butt cap? If that's correct, that means the grip size is a 4 3/8 inches. I thought Safin always used a grip size 4 (aka 4 1/2 inches).

The PC600 is softer and gives better feed back while still being on the muted side. It is like butter. The TGK237.1 is stiffer playing, more muted, and really pockets the ball.

Can you see that hole in the butt-cap? That means that it was customized by Head. I thought Safin was a customer of P1.

Anyway it is a genuine racquet from the Pro Room and just take the OP word of who the original owner is.

I just sold EXACTLY the same one to the member on this board (see my listing in the FS section), could be Safin's too?

my theory is that safin brakes so much rackets all the time that he has to order batches of the TGK237.1 that is a more readly available frame from the head pro room, because its basically the MG MID but customizable to his specs by P1 so he doesn't have the PC600 all the time (the one with his name on it), or else he switched to new mold wich plays almost the same as the old one... and head stopped making him the custom named one because he is retiring at the end of the year so whatever no reason for head to go to the trouble of making him a special stick in factory... just my theories

Why would the Guy say he has Safin's Racquet - if he doesn't ? A genuine Poster ( see his old posts ) , I beleive him maybe Safin changed his specs ( all pro's do ) or maybe they ran out of PC600 , or maybe Safin grew tired of his old frame & was trying Head's new frame - who cares , I am really sad to see so many ppl say it's not Safin's racquet , I beleive it is - I've seen Safin carry 8 racquets in 2006 - where he had 2 different from his other six ( grips were syn on 6 , leather on 2 , the other 2 had somethin else different as well.... ) , so deosn't mean that racquet isn't Safin's , you guys should applaud RFRF for atleast his efforts to bring his specs with pcis & stuff. nuf said.

Ahm, those two are definitely not the reasons...
Other than that...could be...just weird that NONE of Safin's pictures show him playing with the 237.1 with that buttcap... WHo knows...
