Might be a daft question but why is it 18 mains, but the grommet thing has 3 bits not 4? Is it custom spacing?

That is one of the clues that it is a Hyper Pro staff 6.5.

I actually love the stick. I have two that I no longer use because as much as I like them, I like 6.1s a little better for my game, but they somehow are light player's racquets. thin beams, 18x20 beds, that are very stable. A great baseliner's stick, you could hit groundstrokes for days with it. I was skeptical that tsonga used it, but the bumper guard is definitely a match. Great lightweight, all court racquet, but also a great vehicle for modification. The NPS and Kteam should have been 6.5 clones, in my opinion. If it had a 16x18 or 16x19 bed, i would still be using it.

Are you guys kidding me? Just because Saram thinks Djokovic uses the real Kblade you automatically ridicule him for it? Maybe that's why all of you dismiss that a pro could *actually* (gasp, eh?) be using what it looks like.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but its just his opinion. No need to be so frank.

Djokovic's nBlade paintjob also did not have PWS. He uses a custom made racquet that's very similar to the Head PT630/PT280 (although some claim it may be the LM Radical MP), that Wilson makes for many of its sponsored pros that came over to Wilson from using Head racquets for many years (e.g., Djokovic, Tursunov, Mathieu, etc.). People can call it whatever they want but Wilson calls it a "K-Blade". It's just nothing like the K-Blade that's sold in the stores. BTW, when Djokovic had his with a nBlade paintjob on it, Tursunov had essentially the same racquet but with a K-Six-One 95 paintjob on it.

Saram is saying that Djokovic is using "a" K-Blade, but not "the" K-Blade. Wilson probably makes dozens or even hundreds of frames that they call "K-Blade" but only one of which is the retail version that they sell to the public. Some of the other versions are used by some of their sponsored pros - essentially custom racquets made to the layups and feel that they like. But we can't buy those.

I still think this is a lot of speculation of people with a lot of time on their hands. But to each their own.

Not speculation at all. Lots of definitive proof has been posted on these boards before. Like Djokovic's racquet's string spacing does not match that on a retail nBlade nor K-Blade but matches that on a Head PT280. He also stated flat out in an interview that Wilson made him a custom racquet that is identical to his old Head racquet and that's what he plays with because he tried many of the Wilson retail models and didn't like any of them.

As for Tursunov, you can find pics of his K95 paintjob that has the head shape of his old Head racquet and also does not have the PWS, which is on the retail K95 but not on his old Head racquet.

But why should that stop you from buying a K-Blade?

You should get the racquet that you play your best tennis with and not the racquet that some pro plays his best tennis with. You are not Djokovic and you do not play the same as he does. If you did, you'd be ranked #3 in the world. Thus, don't let what a pro uses influence what you use since it's very unlikely you'd be able to handle a real pro's racquet anyway. Even the women pros use racquets that have swingweights over 350. Most amateur men can't even handle that.

i don't think he has access to one...maybe can't afford it! can you balance the racquet on a handle of a different racquet? so we can see roughly where the racquet balance point is. Thanks!

someone buy this guy a scale!

check out this little guy's luck! got to pose for pics with some pros, got lots of signatures, and pics :D

Wow..I didn't realize so many pros were using racquets with PJ's. Goes to show that newer technology isn't always better...atleast for the pros.

Any tennis shop will check the balance and weight for free. At least the ones by me will.

Just say i'm thinking about changing the weight or balance of my racquet and need to the weight/balance.
