So the last three matches I had planned were outdoors and have been rained out... Eugene, Oregon has to be the most unfriendly in the whole world for outdoor tennis!!!

    Let's see...
    YOU chose to live there.
It's up in the mountains and forest, almost a rain forest.
Low pressure storms are barrelling in from the Pacific aimed straight for you.
It's fall, and maybe another rainy year, with early storms arriving.
Your alternative could be SaudiArabia, Yemen, or the Sahara.

Cool ... and rainy out there in Orygun already, huh? Reminds me of the time I was in Seattle around late OCtober. It was beautiful and cool all week. Then that Friday morning, a few of us were going to ride bikes. It rained. I asked, "Hey, so when is going to stop raining?"
The local answered, "Probably April, maybe May."

Oh, and anyway, earlier, I was being serious. Where did mother nature come from?
    Mother Marjorie probably knows.

We had rain until July this year... It was a very short summer and now we'll see rain for the better part of six months, but Seattle has it even worse. I don't know if they experience more than a week of sunshine a year lol

Mother nature comes from ancient beliefs of spirits in all parts of life and Earth having such beauty and being so nurturing it made them think it was a female spirit.

My mother used to beat me with wooden coat hangers and throw forks at me.

    Sorry to hear that.
Playing outdoors is the best imo!

But given that the surface and sea temparatures worldwide are on the rise we have about 4 % more water vapor around. Thats why downpours are more intense.

    Answer:

Basically, it cleans up the gene pool, keeps murderers from killing their cellmates, other prisoners in the yard, prison guards, other prison employees, and citizens who may be minding their own business playing tennis after they're released serving an average 3-7 years sentence copping a manslaughter plea.

Arizona's a great state for tennis especially around Scottsdale.

^hahha, yeah, like, if 'nature' were male, it'd be Brothernature.

Kidding. I looked it up. It's like what roflcopter said, it's got something to do with 'god'esses or animist beliefs. Samiramis, Baal, that sort of thing.
