I'm a player with very long and fast strokes and am looking for a very underpowered racket with good control and that is good at the net, would the i.prestige mid be a good choice? If not, what would? Thanks.

  2. Yes. It's great at net. Just not a spin demon. Definately worth a demo.

I have been playing with I-Pres for 2 years now and have grown so attached to it I cant imagine switching. My coach says my swing is huge, so, if you swing big, I-Pres is for you. However, remember not to string it higher than 55 pounds on mains, it makes the stick play like a board. Its got tight pattern, so anything below 55 is good.

PS I-Pres is not a small hitter, so, if you feel that after demoing it you are still smashing holes in the fence (I am having a hard time imagining anyone do this, but its possible) try Yonex RDX 500 mid. That stick is all about " do the work yourself, all of it, all the time".

I'vr been playing for about 20 years ...... two to three times a week. I'm definitely an avid player. The i Prestige has been my all time favorite frame. A solid all court racquet for serious competitors! Very solid in all areas!

If you like the spin, try the Pro Staff 6.0 85 or the Tour 90. Also good in all areas.
