    This thread should always be on the front page.

    Will Federer take revenge on the Italian Destroyer of Dreams?
    Funny how that's his only loss this season. Without that loss his season start would've probably been pretty amazing (assuming he goes into the semi-final like he usually does) but just because of that one loss his season start is almost horrible and he's only 7th in the race.

    I don't sweat the Seppi loss now, he's more than made up for it.

    I mean, Berdych made the SF, but he has as much to show for the AO as Federer does. Only Djokovic walked away victorious.

    This year, Federer has two tournament wins, which is better than he was doing at this time last year.

    So if you ask me, considering Fed's position with his age and everything, he's doing better this year than he was last year.

    The Spaniard's game is nothing like the ONE;
    Fair Rogi has more hair upon his head;
    If knees be weak, why then his game is done;
    If spin be weak, why then his game is dead.
    I have seen Rogi's greatness, pure and white;
    But no such greatness I see at his peak;
    In journeymen there can be more delight
    Than in the havoc this cheap Spaniard wreaks.
    I love to watch him play, yet well I know
    That Rogi has more beauty off the ground;
    I grant I never saw a GOAT doth go;
    This Spaniard, when he lose, writhes on the ground.
    And so, by heaven, my hate is not rare,
    While that contrived for Rog is false compare.

    SexiTennis tonight, putting some Led in that Seppilin..."the sea was red and the sky was gray, I wondered how tomorrow could follow today, the mountains and the canyons started to tremble and shake, as the children of the sun began to wake.
    Seems like the wrath of the Gods got a punch on the nose and it started to flow...and Seppi's sinking!"

    Well that's not true as Berdych walked away with 600 points and Federer with almost none. Which explains why Berdych is leading him in this season by 400 pts. You can say Federer's season start is good title-wise, but not points-wise, and both are pretty important to me. To be honest I don't care about titles THAT much if they aren't M1000s or Grand Slams, but that's just me.

    Another match-up between Roger and Rafa coming up? I bet Nadal won't complain about that, but it will be about the only thing these days ...

    Rafa’s Latest Complaint

    ATP, stop trying to take away my clay.
    Press, stop trying to make me be gay.
    Larry, why you buy that cheap ball?
    Hard courts, why do you make me fall?
    Bread knives should be less sharp, no?
    Chairs, why do you hate me so?
    Bananas, stay away from my throat.
    Roger, it’s not nice to always be GOAT.
    Rankings really should be two years.
    Azarenka, why do you hate my ears?
    Carlos Bernardes, you’re not my friend.
    You’ll never call time violation on me again.
    We should get a few minutes to serve,
    give viewers the 50-stroke rallies they deserve.
    They try to make my clay blue. Can you believe?
    If they do that again, I’ll take my balls and leave.
    Players shouldn’t be over 6-foot-2-and a half.
    It’s not fair I have to return serve to some giraffe.
    I prefer cassette but they only revived vinyl.
    Why can’t I decide to play Roger in that final?
    Why Spain have a woman coaching Davis Cup?
    Uncle Toni don’t like, but they tell him to shut up.
    Novak, why do you get the best gluten-free chef?
    When I try to suggest ideas, ATP always deaf.
    Murray, my texts you now ignore:
    Why don’t you want to game with me anymore?
    Serena, why you make me feel like less of a man?
    Why do you beat Masha just because you can?
    Why do the tour finals have to be inside?
    And always on hard court? That I can’t abide.
    Fake courts wear down my soul and soles.
    Why do I always lose those Talk Tennis polls?
    Joel Dali, why 204 pages of Rogi love, that’s all?
    Why can’t you also stand by Rafael Nadal?
    Yes, I could go on and on and on and on,
    but kids, just get off my f-ing lawn!

    Feel free to add your own Rafa complaints to the list. :twisted:

    The Bard? I'm flattered — and inspired by the great one (Fed or Shakespeare, or both -- you decide), a sonnet ...

    It’s Miami and everyone’s started playing on the clay.
    Sure the ATP likes to classify it as hard court.
    But Rogi is too smart to be fooled by what they say.
    That’s why he’s the obvious greatest in the sport.
    “Explain to me,” Fed says, playing with a ball.
    “How can I be thwarted twice by Andy Roddick
    but beat in a five-set final one Rafael Nadal?
    This tournament makes no sense, it’s some trick.
    It’s like a commercial orchestrated by Gillette.
    But the illusion isn’t fooling me anymore.
    I’m back in Europe on the real clay, no regret.
    Miami’s court is slower than the Hundred Years War.
    I say this to you now, and you’ll laugh, I fear.
    But I’m beating Rafa at Roland Garros this year.

    Suddenly discovered that in my short time on this forum, I have needlessly frittered away posts on trivial, common threads, without ever mustering up the strength of heart to pay my respect at the greatest of tennis altars. However I have realized my omission , and humbly pledge my allegiance to the Golden Eagle of Victory, the Gatekeeper to Eternity and the most Benevolent of Immortals. May the goathood of the Eternal One continue to enlighten the souls of believers and give us strength to see through the wiles of false pretenders. May the gleam of his golden wings, free our hearts from their daily drudgery and show us if for only a fleeting moment, what it is to be everlasting.

    Same question: does anyone have stats from today's match?

    The ATP has not done an update yet. It updated last Sunday.

    Fed messed up 2 BP in 2-2 game, broke him at love at 3-3, messed up 3 more BP in 4-4 game after Cuevas was 0-40.

    Cuevas just had the 1 BP and took that on 30-40 point, down 3-4.

    Fed had 72% first serves and was winning second serves also comfortably. It is a shame it went to the tiebreak.

    Thanks Steve!

    And I didn't know that function existed.

    BP problems again for Fed, only had 1 BP against him on serve and couldn't defend that.

    9 BPs on return and could only convert 2. He has to turn that around. Nadal has been having similar problems this year.

    I think Fed has a decent shot at racking up more 250's than Murray will in total titles:)

    Gulbis and Tipsarevic have copyrighted that title...their territory is exclusively 250's and the former has a FH that makes him The Golden Flying Vulture.
