People get blinded by fanboyism and lose any capacity for objectivity. Of course, Djoko is a better indoor hard player than Nadal. How is that not obvious? He's also a better player on hard overall (look at all the stats). Rafa is better on clay and grass. Why would people even fight over this stuff is beyond me.

They have a desire--hopless as it is--to destroy Nadal. Many of the usual (Fed Fringe) suspects have now jumped in bed with Djokovic, as if the WTF erases Djokovic's destruction at the hands of Nadal at two majors this year.

Because Nadal isn't a better player on grass, not anymore he's not. Let me give you a quick reminder:

So nadal is only better on clay, but those days are gone as well, since Joker will win RG from now on.

So you better get used to this face:

that "destruction" that you speak of is just starting.

watch what happens at the next 2 slams.

Oz is now just 61 days away. there will be pressure there for nole. he is the one who has to defend.

nadal`s motivation and his resolve just went up significantly.

Nadal can go on to become the GOAT and it wouldn't matter because he stands way behind the baseline, uses an oversize from and poly.

Nadal was lucky to even get to Novak at the WTF....He should thank Federer for taking out DelPo otherwise it would have another straight set beat down in the SF.

Good post. I enjoy watching Big 4 play. Their matches are always close and incredibly competitive. Enjoy them while you can.

He is a extremely good clay courter, how much ever you slice and dice it.

Got lucky with the surfaces playing the same.

Playing 20 ft behind the baseline and playing same shots over and over does not do it for some.

Dont you see? Djocovic is on a massive galactic roll now. He will win 4 career GS in a row, including gold medal. He will not loose a match before he retire in 4 years.

If Djoker never loses again, he is da best  he would have 22 Grand Slams! Simply would be the best

Yes, he won in the fall and maybe the greatest tournament of all season, WTF.
There is defenitly signs of world dominance the next years to come.

Edit: those 3 last gs just doesn't count of obvious reasons. But it will take a couple of days with discussion here for people to really understand this.

then your god should have been able to figure him out by now.

how badly does that reflect on your hero if nadal is just some hapless dirt baller with no game?

some of the greatest players ever lived failed at RG.

Sampras, johnny mac, Edberg, Connors, newcombe, and many others. what does that tell you about RG?

only reason Federer has a rg crown is because nadal was not there. he got injured.

and who is greater than Federer.

it takes real game to win at RG.

I think you need real game to win at Wimbledon not RG.

If you have a great baseline game and stamina to last for 4 hours, then you put yourself as a contender for FO.

You need diverse skills for WImbledon. It appears easier , because points end quicker, but you need (at least needed till 5-6 years back) larger variety in your game to win W.

So impressive Rafa was able to win sw19 and rg back to back twice :)

It is always very impressive , that is an awesome record (back to back) that Borg, Nadal and Federer have.

Do you know if the schedule of the slams were the same as previous 3 years?
Now they added a extra week between. Has it been like that before?

Agreed, but he won't gain points during grass court season. I wonder which player outside top 100 gives him an early exit at Wimby next year....If he makes Wimby at all, during that time his knees usually are failing him due to his busy clay schedule.

It does show lack of knowledge. Rafa had been in the last two finals of the USO, winning 1, and hadn't lost before the semis since 2008 I believe. He had also been in the final of the AO and lost an extremely close match before his injury lay off. And yet you thought he couldn't win it?. Lol. Hate doesn't let you think clearly.

    Epic is the word :)

now that he has done this with a 7 month layoff, you can only imagine his state of belief for 2014.

    memo to all his adversaries:

    pray for death

I think 7 months of rest did wonders for Nadal. He is a perfectionist to the degree that he seems to have OCD. He took enough time to get 100% ready physically and then came back. That was very wise of him.

Don't forget, next year, Murray is coming back as well. He is too good a player to not reach to no.1 sometime during his career. He will be 27 next year and I think that will be about time he becomes no.1. Won't be easy, but I think it will happen. It's not just about Nadal and Djokovic any more come January.

It deserves all caps mate! :) Great stuff from Nadal. Everyone doubted him last year but he just never gives up. Truly EPIC. Djokovic had a pretty spectacular year as well! Winning the last 21 matches like a king! Andy won wimbledon and made Britain proud! Federer unfortunately didn't accomplish much :( But still hopeful for a STRONG 2014!

Yes off course, everybody who predicted that Rafa wouldn't win USO, lack knowledge about tennis. I hope one day I will be as smart as you, because you are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo smart and you have sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much knowledge of tennis.

Djokovic is the superior player to Nadal. The perfect tennis wrecking machine when operating at it's best capacity, slays the wild relentless beast. We saw it in seven finals in a row. For some reason the machine had some glitches in the last year and a half, some loss of function in the desire of wanting it most mode, but the ultimate tennis machine has regained it's highest efficiency, as it proved in London slaying Nadal.

    :)

Yup you guys are right . Nadal got lucky over five sets at the USO and FO ....it was like 300 lucky shots by Nadal.

But the WTF now that's a real tournament . That proves it all!!!

What more is there to say? Nadal lost the great WTF.....he should hang his head in shame and just declare JOker the goat right here and now.

Rafa showed he was the better player in 2013 by spanking Joker when it mattered most at the slams. Joko did well to win the wtf exhibition event!:)

If there is no wind at RG next year, Novak's going to beat Nadal (assuming they gonna meet in the final). Nadal's movement it's not going to be enough any longer to cover the court against Novak. Might be wrong but that's my prediction.
