I am under the impression they are the same. PT57A = Pro Tour 630, PT57E = Pro Tour 280(Don't quote me on the second one, I can't remember if it's right or not

Common belief around here is that the PT57A is a PT630 mold with a different layup from stock, and the PT57E is an iPrestige MP mold with a different layup.

They would have different weight, head finest calfskin grip, say pt57a on the hairpin, and should have a pro stock butt cap.

What does a 'different layup' mean by the way?

Does it mean using different materials and composition or something? It's just I've heard it written a bit but don't really fully undersatnd it.

    Cheers

Assuming the same mold, its a different weight and distribution of the materials (such as graphite and resin) from one model to another.
