The coin toss doesn't matter if it's Roger and Rafa. Rafa always says Roger serve first, and Roger always says I'll serve first! Roger's joked about it in the past, saying there's no reason for it when he plays Rafa.

Nadal has to actually make it to Andy first.

I'm happy to be honest. Rafa starts as favourite if him and Murray play at this year's Wimbledon.

True, but this can be said about Andy too. It's a new year and anyone is prone to an early upset. I won't be confident about Rafa at Wimbledon till week 2. If he makes week 2, he's the favorite IMO.

Yes, I agree. So hard to predict how Murray will play at W. I have not been watching any of his Queen's matches so I have no clue how his form looks on grass this year. Does he look impressive or is it too difficult to determine at a tune-up?

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Nadal was horrendous on grass last year so he's got to get through the early draw. I hope he doesn't get some like Isner in round 3.

He's moved well in all of his matches, played some nice stuff on occasion, but nothing earth shattering. A couple of concentration lapses as well.

He's moving much better than I thought he would but his groundies are pretty inconsistent - he has been decent at the net though.

It is only a warm-up so it probably won't be a great indicator of his W form. I am sure he will go up a few levels there.

post injury nadal has had problems low down on his bh side, and with the ball lower and skidding through a bit faster, maybe a warm up tourney on grass would've been ideal preparation..

but he has to rest his knees so that's that.

Worst match-up in the top four at the minute this; even worse than old Federer v prime Nadal.

Murray tries too hard to be Nadal's best pal, instead of his rival. The match-up looked promising a few years ago but has since become pretty lame.

If they meet at Wimbledon, the crowd will whoop and holler as Murray either takes the lead or levels the match in a predictable 5pm start time, but then Nadal will grind it out in four, and Murray will bleat afterwards about how great Rafa is and how he's really looking forward to getting stuck into the American hard courts.

Murray is playing fairly well at Queens but all the form is with Rafa, and the momentum. Murray has been very inconsistent since that USO win. Rafa also moves better than anyone on grass. Anyone who thinks he is slower now should rewatch the RG semi. He isn't.

He will have time enough to prepare imo. If he loses in the first week again I will be shocked.

The worst part is that despite the incessant spamming of every thread with utter drivel , she is treated like a cute 3 year old when all her jinxing or anti-jinxing or whatever it is works like a charm and Nadal cleans up every title there is.

I also like how Nadal managed to avoid Murray for an entire year in 2012 when Murray was truly on fire with the new found Lendl influence.

This year, I don't really know what to make out of his form from his performances so far. I think Nadal will be the overwhelming favorite against anyone he plays from here on.

I would say if they will play QF, SF, F - it depends sooner they play better for Murray, but Murray should beat him - RAfa´s level should be lower than in their previous Wimbledon matches, while Murray on other side - maybe his level isn´thigher - can be the same, but his confidence should b ehigher and pressure should be off - i mean he already had succes at Wimby last year so pressure should be much much lower and also he is mentally stronger now as GS champion. Murray in his mathes was outplaying NAdal and than his head stopped him like in 2011 when he missed that easy FH and he lost match - i mean he has better slice, better ROS and bigger 1st serve than Rafa he should do fine vs him on grass.

Since when exactly? 1 USO win is about all Murray has to be honest. The Olympics is not a slam and he has never beaten Nadal on grass. It's difficult to make a case for Murray winning more than a set given this year's form (Murray has been horrible and we all know what Rafa has done so far).

I genuinely don't understand how anyone can make Murray favourite. He has had ONE good Wimbledon (which he didn't even win) whereas Rafa has won everything in sight so far this year, including Indian Wells. I wouldn't expect the grass at Wimbledon to be playing at all quick this year either (especially if Queens is anything to go by). It would be competitive but Nadal does everything Murray does that bit better, possibly bar the serve - and Murray's relatively weak second serve negates that anyway.

I just don't understand how anyone can make a case for Murray. His 2013 form has been pretty horrible, possibly bar Miami where no one else was playing.

If people are genuinely basing it on him having Queens as a warm up then I don't understand that either. Do people think Rafa won't be practising on the grass next week? It is not like he is going to be sitting in a bucket of clay until Monday week, then jumping straight on a plane to SW19. He is far far more match sharp than Murray and the feel on the grass comes to him quickly. Murray isn't the danger for Rafa, the danger for him is meeting another Rosol early who everything he hits goes in. I also never bought the fact that Rafa played that poorly vs Rosol. He started slowly and his length was bad but by the 4th set he was dialled in. Rosol just happened to play a virtually flawless set of tennis in the 5th that would have beaten anybody.

Like The Orderina likes to say, Murray loses before even going on court when facing Rafita on Wimbledon. Doesn't help that he's a huge Rafita fan.

I agree. People have forgotten how much Nadal struggled in the first round against Bellucci last year, even though it was in straights.

I think Murray will win convincingly if they meet this year.

If I remember, there was one Wimbledon Murral semifinal. Murray took the first set and was on the way to the second with Nadal on the ropes, but put an easy putaway long. Collapsed from there and Nadal won in four. That and the 2012 AO final were the reasons I thought Murray would never win a slam.

Nadal vs Murray is not so one-sided as TTW would have you believe.

Nadal in three uncontested sets as per usual. 2011 was exceptional only because Nadal had some initial reservations about playing and losing to Djokovic in the final.

Yep Murray's having an absolutely horrible year, what with that slam final, that masters title, the ATP title and his semi today at Queen's. I realise you're a Rafa fan, but clay /= the totality of tennis

To repeat, I think Rafa would be favourite if him and Murray play @SW19, but to suggest that Murray is no threat to Rafa sounds a little bit like wishful thinking to me.

I just look at the form. Murray really has none. Lost pretty tamely in IW, did nothing the whole clay season and did ok in Miami but didn't play anyone. You have to go back to Jan for his last really decent set of performances?

Definitely not one-sided I agree. But to suggest Murray would be the favourite is based on zero logic as far as I can see.
