for the clay season ahead & last but not least RG? IF and only IF he beats them!

Beating a Top 10 & and pseudo top 4 at clay....does that mean he is ready for the big stage?

I'm still not betting on him, but if he DOES win, it is a positive sign.

    What is your opinion?

Ready for dessert? Ready to accept his trophy? Ready to unveil a huge golden statue in Manacor depicting him biting a French Open trophy carved out of one giant diamond?

If? Yes. If and only if? No, if you want to be logically precise, ^.^ Even if he loses the tournament, he still has time to prepare his form for RG. But if he does win and beats Ferrer in the final, it'll be clear that he is basically back, on clay at least. Hard/grass is different story.

    Weak era
He's nearly there which brings us to a dilemma, should you root for Novak to win CYGS so you can claim he's better than Fed or will your love for Nadal and belief he can still catch-up Fed's slam record prevail?

You cannot compare matches with others which are going on at the moment. Djoko is one big player and he is very hard to beat - Ferrer is good but still not up to what Rafa is going to face later this season. We will only know when he has to face Djoko or Murray and Fed

LOL have you seen Federer's form? The guy is a wreck this year compared to last, not to mention he'll be missing 2 months as well. Rafa will take care of Murray and Federer at RG. Novak is the real danger, but it's not like we all don't know that.

I think Nadal is gaining confidence and form. We all know he is the king of clay. I really think Djokovic wants that RG trophy to make a career slam more than anything this year. With Nadal it feels like a boxer training and doing warm up fights getting ready for the paper view event at Caesar's Palace(Roland Garros).

Nadal is getting better, which is great news. Djokovic is on fire currently.

It will make RG very interesting.

Rafa does seem to be ready to take on the big guns in coming months.

I also heard during acapulco final that Rafa may play Indian Wells.

That should clear a lot of doubts about his fitness and movement. But any of the top 3 would dread to have him in their draw @ RG2013.

He seems to be fit and movement is getting better. Heck he beat Ferrer 6-0, 6-2. That was dominating performance.

He is "ready" if he goes deep (semis) in IW and wins Monte Carlo. Acapulco? Ferrer is 7-43 vs the big 3; Almagro is 1-20 vs the big 4. Had Nadal NOT won there on red clay(!) we'd be writing his obituary. So stay tuned for the answer over the next 2-3 months!
