ZeroSkid is a pathetic poster, as NadalWon. Nothing to add in any debate. Hasn't any kind of knowledge about the sport, just trying to troll the "*******s" with stupid arguments.

    Ridiculous.

Oh, so you're saying that the number of Slams is more important than H2H in determining who's better?

Thanks for letting us know.

    Exactly...

MAYBE Nadal would reach the Final once in a banner year. Otherwise he'd be in danger of losing where from the Semis and before.

So when Fed doesn't have to face Rafa in the final he's a HUGE favorite

And why does that matter? By your logic, doesn't that make Nadal a sore winner? Nothing worse in sports.

No reason to argue with someone who already lost the argument from their 1st post. But go ahead and keep arguing. That's what simple minded people do.

If there was no internet would trolls still dominate common sense?

Yes probably; the all-knowing, all-telling, all-important H2H would be in trolls' favor still.

Should make the AO an indoor slam. They'll have three covered stadia so all the matches of the seeds in the mens and womens singles could be played indoors.

Nadal could still beat Roger.. I'm not sure about 'dominate' however.. The YEC is always a time when Nadal almost throws the towel in. The one year he truly committed himself to it ( I think it was 2010?) he and Roger went to the final set. Best of 5 sets Nadal could best him a few times just based on the fact Nadal has the ability to make fed his pigeon mentally

Obviously it would favor Fed..but Im still not sure he would win in a best of 5 at this point vs. Nadal. Whats his best of 5 record vs Nadal...has he ever beaten in him outside of Wimby in that format?

Yes, Federer beat Nadal at Miami in 2005 when the final was still best of 5.

And Federer beat Nadal in straight sets in the middle of Rafa's prime in IW... one of the slowest hardcourt surfaces out there.

    What's your point, Skidmark?

You forgot to mention that Nadal was 2-0 up and that was the only time that happened.

I'm leaning towards this response. People cite Federer's dominance over Nadal at the WTF as proof Federer would most likely win in an indoor slam. But I think that dominance has more to do with the timing of the event (at the very end of the season when Nadal is burnt out) than the surface, necessarily.

If you put it in the beginning of the year, there's a bigger probability that Rafa might win. I don't believe it's the fast surface that makes Nadal unable to win on indoor courts. With the amount of running he does in the first half of the season, he is always gassed by the time the WTF comes.

No, Nadal struggles on fast low bouncing conditions. The Rosol match at Wimbledon this year wasn't an aberration. Nadal has always struggled with big hitters in the first week at Wimbledon when the grass still plays like.... well, grass.

And since when was that a best of 5 set match? :???:

Oh, and Federer had the flu at the time and considered not even playing the match.

Um...the question was if Federer had ever beaten Nadal in a best of 5 set non-Slam match, NOT who won which sets.

Nadal is not "gassed" enough to win RG and Wimbledon back-to-back in 2008 and 2010 with only a 2 week break in between but he's too "gassed" to win the WTF when it's almost 3 months from the last Major (US Open)?

Before I get into the discussion, I'd like to know if YOU are NSK, TDK, 6-3 6-1 6-0 or the same individual with a different username. Please enlighten me.
I have the feeling this thread will turn into something like
"Nadal is a beast, he is invicible, he is this, he is that, and for all the what-if, Fed would NEVER have had one GS title if Nadal had been or peaked 5 years earlier".

3 majors lost in the final in a row, too. I'm sure we can find loads of impressive records if we start digging... ;)
