As the title suggests which result would you change.

I would change 2009 Wimbledon final because I think Andy deserves another slam and that was the closest he had gone to beat Fed in a GS

Rome 06... that one hurt. and more importantly, it would have given the maestro psychological edge.

psychological edge? you make it sound as if Federer has never beaten him after that match. Federer beat him twice on clay after that match.

Wimbledon 2007 final-Nadal was the better player in this day! Atleast in the first four sets! Roger was lucky to win those two sets(set 1 and set 3)in tiebreakers! This match should not have reached this fifth set! One of the best matches of Nadal that I've ever seen (despite the loss)!

Verdasco to have beaten Rafa at the aussie open 09. would have been interesting to see him in the final.

2009 Wimbledon Final. I thought Roddick worked alot harder throughout the year and deserved the title more.

Somehow I feel Fed would roll over him in the finals, Nando played two 5-setters that year @ AO plus his SF was the longest match @ AO and even without fatigue Fed is the fav..

08 Wimbledon Final. I think that Federer would have then won 4 in a row if he won in 08

Really? Not ONE person wants to change the result of Seles getting stabbed?

Well I gotta say Wimbledon 09. As much as I love Federer, I really felt for Roddick and wanted him to get that Wimbledon under his belt.

Eh? Rios went on to win Indian Wells, Miami, Rome and the Grand Slam Cup in 1998. He also spent 6 weeks as world number 1.

    - edberg vs chang, RG 1989 (but i'd like to give another slam to chang as i wouldn't want to let him slamless)
    - ivanisevic vs agassi, W 1992 (but the bad thing that we wouldn't have as much drama for W 2001 !)

and of course any match won by nadal, but for that...

I agree. Its one of those situations where a loss really would not have hurt Federer as bad as it did Roddick. Federer would refocus to win Slam # 15. That would have completed Roddick's career. Winning 1 Slam during the peak of the Nadal/Federer era is a phenomenal achievement.

Also, the 1984 French Open final. If McEnroe beats Lendl that day, we are putting Mac into a whole different class. Lendl would have had more chances at the French.

I am talking about 4 slams in a row. Wim 08, USO 08, AO 09, and FO 09.

    Wimbledon '09 final.

Also FO 1984 final. At that time, I was happy that McEnroe lost because he really was a brat but now I think if he wins that one, he wins the GS that year easily.

I would have changed Pete Sampras in FO semi final against kafalnikov. Had Sampras won a french open, he would have been in a Tier I GOAT.

Federer Nadal Wimbledon 2008. The grand slam final H2H would be 4-3 Nadal.

Alternately, Tsonga beating Djokovic in AO2008.

    That's a good one!

I would change Sampras/Federer whatever year that it was so that they wouldn't have deified Fed.

    Also, the one you listed.

maybe i expressed myself wrong. i should have posted that we lost an athlete that day!.

from that day, Rios was never commited to tennis. he won whatever he won based solely on his talent! that is IMHO. you disagree with that?

plus, we all know the inside story of the final itself!

I would've wanted the Isner-Mahut match to go to something like 144-146, with Mahut winning.

I feel that if Federer would have won Wim 08 then he would have also won AO 09.

I think that part of the reason Fed chocked against Nadal was because Nadal dethroned Federer at his favorite tournament.

I said in my first post that I would change the Wim 08 final because I feel that win would of allowed him to run off 4 straight slams. When I said that someone said actually it would have been 6 in a row. He was referring to consecutive Wimbledons while I was thinking he would win Wim 08 to FO 09.

AO 2009 by far. Wimbledon 2008 belonged to Nadal, it felt like it was destiny for him to finally win it. He also outplayed Federer for much of that final and was simply brilliant at some points in the match. AO 2009, on the other hand, felt to me more like a Federer loss than a Nadal victory. To me, Federer truly gave that match away and it was always in his hands. He outplayed Nadal from the baseline, won more overall points (despite barely winning any in the 5th), and he was just the better player in the majority of the match. Couldn't win the big points though, and that's where Nadal took advantage.
