If you could hit winners (or force errors/weak returns) consistently off short balls

    what is your NTRP rating? My first and probably the last goal of tennis is to be able to do that.

    Somewhere between a 3.5-4.0. Although this really depends on who you're playing against. Playing against a 2.0-3.0 player and the short balls you get and put away aren't being challenged by a good player. Playing against a 4.0/4.5 player and you'll start to find that putting away short balls becomes increasingly difficult.

    I not only slam away short balls, I love hitting dropshots off of them. The dropshot forces the opponent to run in at full speed and you wait at the net to finish them off and they'll most likely do a Cinderella anyway, they won't make it to the ball in time.
