Has anyone tried both sticks? What'd you guys think?
Close...I tried the Graphene Speed Rev against the IG Prestige S. The Revs have noticeably lower stiffness ratings than the others, and matches the IGPS.
Overall, I thought they played fairly similarly. I found the GSR to be a bit more forgiving, allowing me to get away with late timing, or sloppy footwork.
I'm about to move to the IGPS, because I don't want or need the forgiveness...I mainly want a bit lighter weight and a bit more pop than what I use now.
That, and I didn't like the GSR paintjob. The GSR also needs 1-2 oz of tailweighting, at least for me.
The Graphene Speed Rev is really nothing like the Speed Mp the OP is asking about.
The Speed MP is easier to use, friendlier stick all around. More power...bigger sweetspot...easier to swing.
The Prestige S is much lower powered and more demanding for sure. It's a "love it or hate it" stick too, so best bet is to demo it youself. But the Speed MP is a pretty safe bet that should work for many levels of players.
