Normally inside of SF bay is flat. But with a huge north swell a little point inside the Golden Gate goes off for skim.

    Monday
    12/3 Up S 10-15 early Possible raw swell #9 building to 13 ft @ 15 secs late 16-18 ft 260 degrees
    Tuesday
    12/4 Up calm early Raw swell #9 at 17 ft @ 15 secs 20 ft 270 degrees

    Sweet skimmin conditions.

Did you hear about the HUGE (25 ft+) WNW swell supposedly coming Tuesday-Wednesday!!

That might make for some fun ones too!

Water's about 55 right now. There was a pier there so there are pilings (look and feel like rocks) everywhere. In that photo, on a lower tide I would be on top of one.

Yep, that's the swell forecast that I posted above the picture. I'll be taking a really long lunch.

Great. That just makes it sound scarier. Please be careful, I'm sure we would all miss hearing about your 'nieghbor on a swing' if something horrible happened to you. ;)

I'm hitting at the community courts at 5 tonight. If you're in the hood stop by and say hi.

And break our streak of never meeting despite living within a few miles of each other? NEVA!

Depends on how long the DC matches last, yes I am being a complete couch potato for them. I have to run some errands after that, so if you see a pear shaped figure with BIG HAIR wandering around, that is me. I will not be there to hit.

Are you going to volunteer to clean up the bay?
I heard you need a week or two for hazard training.
A lot of places are filled up.

    [IMG] How's that?

In related news, the swell is beginning to fill in. Should be monster size tomorrow!

What was the story regarding concerns voiced by NOAA and the Coast Guard regarding further potential damage caused by the skimmers?
