He's currently 198 in the world but I still think its cool that I got to string for chris guccione last week. He brought me 2 blx pros (paintjobs). I think its actually a surge x.

well he's a fairly popular player in australia, and he's the top ranked Australian player using Wilson? It could be Wilson's Australian marketing techniques haha.

Outer mains got tubing as Chris mentioned that he has been breaking mains toward the top edges of the frame. It's just the angle of the string coming out of the grommets combined with sharp plastic on the grommet combined with using 17g natural gut.

just the outer mains? if I remember correctly, he tubed the middle 12 mains on the top (6 on each side). He also switched to 16g gut

You're kidding? There are college players and juniors running around with paintjobs, let alone a guy who has been ranked as high as #67 in the world.

Nice bit of lead in the throat there... I'm surprised more people don't do that. I really like the feel since it gives more mass without screwing up the balance too much.

Any chance you can give us the specs? Guccione rocks, one of the few S & V'ers out there.

I remember doing his rqt last year at Wimby and he had the centre 8 mains tubed. I dont think I did the centre 12.

I cant give you specs but they were really heavy compared to the most other players, especially the double players. The pj back then was the K Open

    Regards

    Paul

Is there any sort of code of conduct expected of stringers, i.e. is it considered ethical to give out information about a client's frame?

Other stringers have posted as well. It seems to be a gray area. I am not sure if there is a "Stringer's Code of Conduct."

So is he putting the Nat. Gut on the mains or crosses? What tension does he prefer?

    Congrats.
I don't know he is ranked that low,he has one of the biggest serves on the Tour, serves and volley well as his weapons.
I think last year he had a great run in Cinci beating Tsonga and some other good guys.
