im struggling, i need some basics.

Discussion in 'Tennis Tips/Instruction' started by tennisboydestroyed, Sep 15, 2004.

  1. i've been out of the game for a long time , previously i played at junior national level but that was 5 years ago.

can an experienced good player or good coach tell me the basics in a simple way for the forehand and the double handed backhand.

    thanks

It takes a lot of time to keep retyping information. I would suggest you search the website for articles that interest you.

Check out easitennis.com. For $30, you'll probably learn more about fundamentals than you hoped to.

Just a wild guess, but I think your rubbish club player comment in your other post is why you aren't getting much help.

    well which is it?

    i'm confused.

in one post, he says "at 14 i was ranked in the top 20 in my country and because of some personal problems i quit tennis and i picked up a racquet for the first time again at 18"

in another post, he says "i started tennis pretty late at 17, and then i wasnt taught the basics my coach just told set up some target and made me hit deep not telling me anything technical."

Who was it who said "when you tell the truth, you don't have to remember what you said" - think it was Mark Twain.
