Which hotel has courts? In 2010 - my hotel arranged a hit at a local club; but they assumed I belonged to a club and when I arrived they wanted proof.

Everyone should go to the Rome event if possible; great city. And they start playing later than most tournaments so you can do some sightseeing then go get a day's worth of action. Walked up to a public facility - they wanted a ton for an hr hit - ridiculous.

The only negative (at least in 2010 when I was there) - they allowed people to smoke in the crowd.

as i told you before 2 or more hours of tennis guaranteed
till now no body contacted me yet or appointed a certain date and time, so even if there are 3 of us we can still manage to make a good hit.

i extended my stay in the hotel ( arriving one day earlier ) from 15 to 20 May

i will be going to the Masters on 16th and 17th day sessions, hopefully after i hit my courts for a couple of hours.

The list of ones I haven't been to is shorter. I like travel, I like tennis (the ATP, not the Grunt/Shriek League) - works out well. Sightsee in the AM (and play 2 or 3 times), then watch the pros in the afternoon and evening.

For a place that has > 300 days of sun, Monte Carlo, as we saw last week, can be iffy in April. So, if it's only between those 2, I'd recommend IW - awesome weather (at least during the day - nights can get cold). And it's a better venue and more fan friendly.

Great day at the courts today! Saw training sessions with Nole with Delpo, Nadal with unknown and Murray with Dolgopolov. Total lasting about 3 hrs! Awesome! Saw also some excellent matches: Lopez vs Chardy and Nole vs (forget his name! (Falla??)) and Wosniacki vs (serbian girl). Great day at the Fuoro Italico!

But now to the just as important! Looking forward to hitting with u Ash (on thursday)! Just a practical question! The club at ur hotel, do we have to pay to play? In that case it might be even better to play at a nice club two min walk from the Fuoro. Went there today and they have nice clay and synthetic courts at 10 euros an hour. I got their no and one can reserve over the phone, they were really nice. They open at 8am an go on into the nght with lights on.

Macontennis(Brucemayers), i will send u an email in case u are available to play at these courts tomorrow (wednesday). Or post or mail me a phone no. and i will call u tonight or tomorrow morning!

    update on the weather:

seems that it is going to rain for a while this morning, and maybe slow down in the afternoon.

clay courts are available at the hotel after 7 pm and hopefully conditions are better by that time.

Bumping this thread. I'm tentatively scheduled to arrive in Rome tmrw morning, Sunday. I would definitely love to hit on the clay while I'm there. I've searched a cpl threads, but, if anyone has any recent info, or can point me to a club where I can find a match, or even just take a lesson, please do so.

    Thanks.

Only scheduled to be there 2 days so trying to do as much as possible.
