Ljubicic looks decidedly off while Federer is playing very well. Ljubicic has only won 3 points so far, with most of Federer's coming from unforced errors from Ljubicic.

It's over. Yesterday Federer terminated Gasquet in about an hour. Now he does the same with Ljubicic (at least Ivan did not concede his serve and made him serve for the match).

ouch...Luby serves 75% first serves and still gets owned. Rog must have been zoning on the ball today.

A walk in the park for Roger, don't know where Ivan was today, but he wasn't on court!
2 nice easy wins in a row, keep it up!
I don't see Nieminen or Paradorn beating Fed in the semis.

Ljub was better today just in one respect: BHs, but not in the decisive moments. His FH was awful.

He said that Roger played well today, better than in their matches at the end of last year. He says he considers himself a top 5 player, but that doesn't mean he's close to Roger. He thinks the only reason Nadal gives Roger trouble is because he's a lefty, "nothing else."

That's funny, Susan. Throughout Mac's career, many of his opponents whined that the only reason they lost to Mac was because he was a lefty. Nice to see things haven't changed.

Except McEnroe was/is unbelievably talented from all areas of the court, whereas Nadal is not that different from your average speedy power baseliner with a lot of spin. But it is selling Nadal short to say "nothing else" separates him. He has unbelievable tenacity. Ljubicic seems to like to put down everyone except Federer. When he lost to Baghdatis, it was the same thing.

Agassi also thinks that Federer has problems with Nadal only because he's a lefty - I believe he said something along the lines of Federer winning ten out of ten matches if Nadal were right handed. Agassi commented that the short backhand slice Federer uses to great effect against double handers who have to "dig out" the shot is peanuts for Nadal with his wristy forehand that he could put anywhere on the court.

I am of the same thought - Nadal's extreme topspin on the forehand hooking right into Federer's backhand is what gives him the most grief. That's not to say that Nadal's incredible mental tenacity, blazing court speed and defense aren't contributing factors, but the honest truth is that Lleyton Hewitt has (had?) these himself (along with a better return and far superior net ability) and Lleyton has pretty much become Roger's whipping boy.

he's just bitter cuz he choked against him....I hope Nadal plays Ljubicic again and spanks him...that guy has sour grapes out the wazoo from his long littany of chokejobs...whatever...Nadal is only good cuz he's lefty?!....only reason Ivan gives anyone any trouble is cuz of his serve, which he can't even count on when the chips are down...maybe he should learn to play lefty...cuz with that serve, he'd be unbeatable! ...lol.

What about that half volley backhand lob from Federer! That came out of the same closet as the overhead backhand lob in Dubai. I'm very suspicious. I'm growing more convinced that this guy is not human. Does anyone remember the tv series 'V'? Hhhmm...
