    what is "walk on" ?

    if court is empty you can just go on to muck around,
    but if someone turns up with a paid ticket for that timeslot
    you gotta clear out ?

    Yes. Permanent court time keeps the courts full until 8-8:30 pm. From 8:30-closing members can walk-on to an empty court and play. Found many members just sit and wait for an empty court.

    Well, it doesn't matter anymore, they couldn't afford to renew their lease. Told to be out by end of the year. Hope who ever takes the club over will do a better job.
