I searched resellers and could not find anything. I looked up the address and it shows a residence. The site looks impressive and some very good prices on some items. Almost too good to be true.

Thanks

hard to say whether its legit or not, the site itself looks fairly professional, secure online shopping cart etc..

best bet, contact the seller, ask questions, ask if they have a store you can visit etc..

Yes, I will send an email, but not sure what to ask. The flag that got me wondering is that the address posted in the contact/about is a house:
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=47+Amber+Lane+Levittown,+NY+11756&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=47+Amber+Ln,+Levittown,+Nassau,+New+York+11756&gl=us&ei=HiJFTPzJDMG88gb_xZWiDw&ved=0CBcQ8gEwAA&ll=40.724606,-73.511316&spn=0,0.001173&t=h&z=20&layer=c&cbll=40.724251,-73.511284&panoid=MEovdESwHjoFYQEbaESWmw&cbp=12,359.63,,0,10.45

Not unusual for an internet business, but range and amount of products offered seem extreme for a house business. I guess I’m just over cautious.
Thanks

as you say its not unusual, sometimes businesses throw up an address to give buyers a bit more assurance since alot of people dont trust internet only businesses.. he could be storing the products in a warehouse.

if the prices are extremely low compared to anywhere else, i would tread carefully

In that case, try to find another company then. It's very dangerous to take a risk like this, Mike. Don't waste your time on this.

I would dress up as a ninja and infiltrate that house and see what I can find.
Take some shuriken with you, I find its best to have at least one dipped in poison just in case.

Thanks,
I did receive an email back from Thomas. So I feel a little better. I decided to go with a different model of the product that they do not sell. Otherwise I think I would have given them a try. Some of their products are offered at a really good price. They do not have a store front.
Thanks for the details

I don't know about that specific site, but you are certainly right to be cautious.

You might ask your question over here and see what feedback you get.

http://www.boatingabc.com/

There are a number of boating related boards out there, but this one is friendlier than most and has some very knowledgeable members that chime in often.

I remember a poster over there that started up a marine related reselling biz based from home. He was a pretty young guy but legit. He got a pretty wide variety of offerings fairly quickly so I guess dropshipping arrangements aren't too difficult to come by. Unfortunately the biz didn't last.

not because of what they sell but because there is too much suspission, or however u spell that...

Cleaning up some old emails at the end of the year and I came across an email from Stephanie Paulay of Paulay-Marine.com back in August. Below is an explanation of their busness. Hopefully by now they have a phone number posted. They do have some good prices on products.

"Hi Mike,
We recently just came across some posts on a tennis website regarding the legitity of our site. My husband, Thomas, likes short answers and simply explained "No, we don't have a storefront". Let me explain further so there is no suspicion. We are a husband-wife team who started Paulay-Marine.com because of our passion of historic vessel restoration and preservation. Our profits go toward our most recent restoration project (which you can see on our homepage...the little wooden ship is called T'smyne Too), rather than to line a CEO's pockets. Our prices are low because we only charge what we think is fair to process an order...not how much money can we suck out of people. They are also low because we work with a warehouse. If we worked out of a storefront, we would have a lot more overhead, and our prices would be much higher. The address, we will need to eventually buy a PO Box...it's really just an address for our office to receive snail mail. We also need to buy an 800 number when we have the funds. Hope this answers your questions. We are actually trying not so successfully to log into the tennis forum now to reply to some crazy posts about people wanting to dress up as ninjas and infiltrate our office. Perhaps if you have more success logging in, you could please ask your online friends not to entertain these wild ideas. If they want to buy something at a good price, they can...otherwise they can spend more money paying retail because someone else has a pretty storefront to show off, but the office address needs to be left alone.
Thanks,
Stephanie Paulay “

I'd actually trust these guys. I'll go out on a limb here, but they seem to be rather honest people, and their site looks legit.
