    Hi Guys,
Just picked up a pair of iPrestige mids and on one it has "made in Austria" imprinted just below the "Head" logo. The other racquet does not have the "made in Austria" on it. So what's the story behind that? Anyone?
    Thanks in advance.

Tandayu, Both butt caps are the same ie., white outer, black center, and "Head" logo with <intelligence> under the Head. The one labled "made in Austria" has sort of a dull matte black finish. The other is more polished.

I do not have the answer, but out of curiousity, what is the numbers on buttcap?

Mine on the "made in Austria" : 6892841, and 6368177.

Another frame with small sticker "made in Austria" on buttcap: 7266448

I never see the polished look one, must be the later version. Houstonace, yours might be made in Czech Rep.. Have you ever weighth both frames? I read somewhere either at www.rackettech.com (if I spell correctly) or www.racketresearch.com than the earliest version of i pres. was much heavier than the later one.

if you do a search, you should be able to find answers about the 2 different versions of the Iprestige. On one version the paint comes off very easily... so that is why they switched that... try a search for more info.

Both of my matte "Austrian" frames already has the updated paint quality. I want to know if anybody has heavier frames than mine which both at 342-343 gram strung plus tourna grip over the stock grip.

Thanks Guys, I think I've got the picture now. I have one ealier version and one later version. Tandayu, I have not weighed the racquets, but in my hands the earlier version(made in Austria) does feel slightly heaftier and also plays more solid. Thanks again to all for the input.
