I saw where it did get tremendous reviews and ratings on Stringforum.net. Has anybody played with it? does it break quickly? How would it be as a hybrid with Touch Turbo 1.25? is it worth the money? thanks--TG

I have not found it to be, but ALU sure is.

I just breaks too soon compared to ALU, is softer and does not have the control of ALU. It is good string, but there are other strings as good for less. I would love to find something that I like more than ALU for less. Have been trying but none yet. Monogut just lost tension too fast and lost control in a very very short time.

I think ACE 18 is wonderful as a main string (in a hybrid set up) in tight patterned racket. I've used several sets of it in my old TiRadMP's and it has lasted as long as I wanted it to last. Very lively when combined with a good syn gut cross (also 18g).

Would I use ACE 18 in an opened pattern racket??? No. It would last about two sets but in tight patterns where the strings don't move around, it lasts almost as long as 16g syn gut. If you've got an open patterned racket forgetaboutit.

I've got the Diablo MP (16 X 18) so I guess BB ace 18 isn't a good choice, even as a hybrid. Thanks.
