Is Djokovic's playing style the most similar to Borg among the ATGs?

Both had incredible mental strength, both controlled points and positioning with their depth of shot, both guided points and attacked when given a short ball, both were "rhythm players" and both weren't the best servers. Now there are obviously some key differences in that Novak's serve and return were better and he generally had more power, while Bjorn's net game and inside forehand were better, but these seem like minor differences.

What do you think? Is Borg the ATG whose playing style Nole's is most similar to?

no, borg didnt have incredible mental strength. look at his tiebreak record in slam finals.

I believe his historical peer is Don Budge (world class backhand, best returner, excellent fundamentals and no weaknesses, elite consistency)

differences for sure, but...i don't think it's a bad comparison.
Many of our friends will scoff at the comparison because of how universally Borg is admired and respected as a player, and how Djokovic is boring, classless, etc. (none of which is influenced by him surpassing sentimental favorites) but in reality their play styles are very similar for reasons I outlined in OP.
