Is ESPN showing the Davis Cup tie next weekend between the U.S. and Romania? I couldn't find it on their schedule. But I did notice something for Sat. and Sun. only on the OLN (Outdoor Life Network)? Is that correct? Why would ESPN not cover the Davis Cup?

Great, so no USA v Romania on TV but we get to see Germany v France. Not that i mind, but come on, which would have higher ratings. Germ v Franc = 1%. USA v Romania = 1.5%.

TIE TBD (REPEAT) Friday 5:00 PM
Sebastien Grosjean, Richard Gasquet and France travels to Germany to take on Tommy Haas, Nicolas Kiefer, Rainer Schuettler, and Alexander Waske. This is the seventh meeting between the two nations with France holding a 4-2 lead in the series to date, although we have to go back to 1938 to find the last time that Germany was successful. France recorded a 5-0 victory in the two teams' last meeting in France in 1996.""

TTC website says nothing about USA, only Germ France.

"ESPN has dropped its Davis Cup coverage, ending a 26-year year run covering the competition. The Tennis Channel will televise the first-round tie starting on Friday, February 10th at 2 p.m. Eastern time and continuing Saturday at 4 p.m. Eastern time and Sunday, February 12th starting at 2 p.m. Eastern. If you do not get The Tennis Channel, please call your local cable provider or visit The Tennis Channel web site for a state-by-state list of where the network is available."

Damn it!!!!!! ESPN has just messed up eveything. Let's hope that ESPN doesn't get to cover the U.S. open right after USA'S contract is done.
