sure your tv isn't in "Serena wide screen mode"?

the short grip he has makes his frame look longer - to me anyway.

you know you have opened a can of worms here - we will likely never end the ensuing debate on whether Fed uses an extended frame or not.

It looks like it's a quarter of an inch longer actually. Maybe this has accounted for his better serving over the last 2 years.

white overgrip always makes racquets look longer, imo.

Thanks. I actually wear glasses and didn't even have them on when I saw the end of the match.

It looks to be no more than half an inch longer. I know Fed previously used a 27" frame (maybe he still does) but his frame looks longer, and I'm guessing he wouldn't go any longer than a quarter of an inch. Federer's racquet, to me, is the biggest looking 90" square inch, 27" long (supposedly) racquet I've ever seen in a pro player's hands. Sampras's PS 85 looked small in his hands as does Safin's Prestige. Maybe it's because Fed is a pretty skinny guy, but he has an almost identical build as Sampras.

Richie Rich ... is right !! The unusual short grip makes his frame and handle look longer.

Every time i see it i thnk he has a specially made racquet to 18 by 20 string poattern, because all the wilsons that have that string patter tend to have a long bit there. And being gripped lower makes it look longer

he is using an extended racket because look at some pics and the grip length is the SAME as mine because he uses 4 3/8 grip and if you look at the rest of his handle you can tell its standard length because if he used a 2handed bh he would have the same amount of grip as I have on my racket......AND I havent tapered with the grip at all.....So yea he is using an extended racket.......

Now i really want to know if he uses an extended racket. Is there someone who strung his rackets and know the specifics. Actually i doubt if he would change to an extended racket. Why should he?

Look I have a friend who has one of his rackets...and I mean personal rackets. Rogers racket is not extended its just that his grip is shorter than the normal ncode 90.

It is a 90 inch headsize grip is 4 3/8 he is using wilson gut in the mains and alu rough in the crosses
