I make a point of stopping at tennis shops when traveling, and I thought I saw Luxilon actually cheaper than other strings when I was in Europe. Although, strings in general were more expensive than at TW, Luxilon was actually the same price or cheaper than other strings.
I just recently decided to stop using Lux since the tension became unplayable for me after 24 hours and I was going broke... and I have switched to "cheap" Gosen string.
Well, lets just say I was shocked to see that some Gosen synthetic string in other countries costs more than Luxilon BB Original!!!! BBO was the same price as Gosen Micro Super! And Gosen JC, Super Tec Gut, and Gosen multi were all more expensive. Lux was cheaper than many other poly strings from Tecnifibre, Pacific, even WeissCannon!!
Since it doesn't hold tension (in my experience), it seems like the price has been adjusted accordingly in other countries... or since it is produced in Europe, maybe just less to stock it there.
Maybe I went to 2 crazy shops in Belgium and Germany, but the prices almost seemed upside down to our string prices in the states!
