There is no doubt the biceps are essential for that heavy topspin FH. If Arnold had pursued tennis instead of acting he would have something to say on clay, no?

Sure is. He probably could have even won the Mr. Universe contest as well. Here's Nadal when he's good and pumped up:

All I can say about Arnold is he would not make it pass his first drug test.

    That's Lou Ferringo. :)

He still provides the voice for the Hulk in the Marvel movies.

"Listen, and understand! That Terminator is out there! It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead." - Kyle Reese.

I guess Nadal is a bit like that on the clay.

actually im sure lou was chosen as 'the incredible hulk' over arnie because lou was tall and muscular..arnie was shorter or something..but arnie did keep destroying lou at those 1970s mr universe contests..

Yes, you are correct. This happened at the time of Mr Olympia shows of the mid 70s, when the classic Pumping Iron film was being made, and body building was going mainstream. Arnie auditioned, but was denied due to be short.

Interestingly, it was during an sit down interview with Lou Ferringo, and a certain Terry Bollea, that lead to everyone saying that Terry Bollea made Lou look small...Terry Bollea was told that he was the real hulk. Terry Bollea went onto to become Hulk Hogan, arguably the biggest name in pro wrestling history.

Geez. What motivates such a thread?

Maybe Federer is a Baryshnikov with a big forehand.? Maybe Agassi was Blackbeard with a good ground game.?

He was the first hulk on TV but he couldn't achieve anything beyond that. Arnold became a big action hero in Hollywood and went into a different league in acting career as well.

yeh well the incredible hulk was on tv on sunday lunchtime in England in the late 70s and early 80s when I was little, so I always liked lou from way back..he didn't follow it up like arnie but lou was in an internationally successful tv show which is a bit cool...lets face it when lou came on screen all angry and green..you didn't forget him in a hurry :)

Nadal might be this model; if he is using LiquidMetal technology in a paintjob racket, that would be strong evidence.

The technical term is mimetic poly-alloy. And you might be on to something in regards to Nadal. He may be using a bionic left arm as well. One like this:

    A T101 or a T1000 (definitely coolest Terminator IMO, Clarky) ....with OCD ???? :D

Great connection with Nadal. This is precisely what Fred must be thinking whenever he faces Rafa.

oh, btw, clarky, don't u think Nole is a great terminator, too *wink*

Absolutely true!! On top of that, at 6'1", 245 lbs, Arnold wouldn't make it through the 1st set. He would be blown up after 4 or 5 points of Nadal moving him all over the court.

His forehand is essentially the same as Federer's, he just uses a SW grip instead of eastern and has a more powerful upper body. Aside from the forehand, he's an incredibly talented tennis player with one-in-a-million ball skills. Everyone focuses on the brute aspects of his game, but Nadal has world-class touch, anticipation, court sense, everything, all the shots. He's a complete player. Probably on PEDs too, but he's a complete, all-time great, player.
