I am about to buy natural gut strings. I heard that Prince/Wilson guts are made by Babolat and softer than current VS. So, I have used Wilson guts so far. Right now, TW has Prince gut on sale at $40.50 if you buy two or more. I want to try Prince gut if it is almost the same as Wilson gut quality-wise.

    Is it worth trying?

I wasn't conviced they were exactly identical, before the BT7 coating in the VS, to me actually Wilson seemed stiffer in the same gauge.

Oh and you can get a 5-10% discount even on Babolat VS if you buy like 4-6....

I have a few sets and they are similar to the original VS though not 100%. I would say probably about 90% of the original VS which was the best feeling and softest gut you could buy.

As long as Babolat continues to let them use the old formula, it's pretty good since we can no longer get the original VS anymore. BT7 just doesn't have the soft feel when you first string it up and to me, it's not worth the price.
