Is the carpet surface at Davidoff Basel fast?

    Is the carpet surface at Davidoff Basel fast?
    To my naked eyes, they look faster than even grass.

    Oh it's carpet? I thought they were some kind of slippery hard courts, everybody crushes the ball at that tournament...

    Carpet is the fastest surface, but idk if that tournament is palyed on it or not. Has anybody here played on carpet? Id love to try it out.

    No. Hardwood is the fastest surface. Ball speeds up after it hits the ground. but for some reason, these guys looks like they are crushing the ball. Even Stan looks like he is serving the ball at 150 mph....:confused:

    To my eye it looks like one of the fastest surfaces on the tour...by design presumably.
