After having seen all three of John McEnroe's doubles matches so far this week at the SAP Open, I seem to sense there's some level of intimidation factor going on in the minds of his opponents. It seems that all 3 teams that he's played against so far have not played up to their usual level and/or their previous matches' levels. Everyone knows John McEnroe, and his legend status, so are his opponents just really nervous, in awe, or intimidated when facing a true tennis legend across the net for the first time? Someone that they might have idolized as a kid or watched play in Grand Slams on TV when they were growing up? I mean how often do they play against someone that's using a racquet that's named after him? What do you guys think? Is the McEnroe aura giving the team of McEnroe/Bjorkman an added advantage even before the first ball is struck?
