haha thats great. I've no idea if its legal though
Legal, not sure. Funny = yes.
Cool dampener. FWIW, it's probably illegal because it extends past the bottom cross into the stringbed. If you could install it so that it only touches the bottom cross, then it would conform.
But the rubberband dampener extends past the bottom cross (Agassi, Roddick, etc)
Yea its legal. you can put anyting you want there. You can put a stencil of naked woman and it is still legal
I know someone who once stenciled "the bird" on his racquet. I think he got complaints by some people at a tournament he was playing at, so he stenciled another line to make it a peace sign.
Fellows, do a search next time.
You can touch the outside string, but it should not extend into the stringbed. Agassi's rubber band, if tied so it is totally outside the bottom cross is OK. Tied on the bottom cross is not OK since it is inside the stringbed.
I have a damp in the top as well as the bottom of my stick... Is that legal?
Above/below the first cross, yes... I love a dampened feel ;-)
Meant to add... Lol, love this dampener ;-)
If you read the 1st link I provided above, you can have as many dampeners installed as you want. Each one though must be outside the last main or cross and or touching the string. Still should not extend significantly over the outside string.
Where do I find such a dampner?
Found this in Singapore/Hong Kong and Malaysia. Hopefully TW carry this soon.
Legal? Of course. Tasteful? Not in the least.
lol, this is funny.
I also bought the same dampener in Hong Kong. It comes with a matching fist dampener.
Maybe it will get banned due to offensive nature?
Well if a dampener extending above the bottom string is illegal then the vast majority of pros at Wimbledon that use dampeners are violating the rule.
I think the rules state that it can't be affixed within the string bed that's is defined by the strings that are within the outside mains and crosses.
If part of the dampener protrudes into the playing string bed, that's fine as long as it isn't attached to part of the main strings above the first cross, and/or touching the second cross string.
So, this "bird" is Legal in my opinion!
Where can I buy this dampener?
Can you buy those online? I really need this. HAhah
I can help u buy n send u by post.
50% of playtime = You give your opponent the finger.
50% of playtime = You give yourselves the finger.
That is the nature of racquet sports. I like to have one though.
