    on TW is shows that many pros use Babolat VS gut along with Luxillon. does this mean most use Bab in the mains and Luxillon in the crosses or not? and is luxillon a good string, with good feel and control, and is it true most pros use it? thanks

    also, what is the difference between luxillon ALU and luxillon ALU ROUGH, and which Lux. strign gives the best Control and FEEL. thanks

    It is true that several of the pros are using a nat gut/LUX hybrid. I believe that most of them are using gut in the crosses and LUX in the mains but some are using it the other way. ALU Rough is just a coating and is not very effective from what I've read here. I use the regular version and it can generate plenty of spin on its own. ALU Power has the best combination of characteristics of all of the LUIX strings, IMO. Below is a copy of the Pro's equipment log from the 2004 Aussy Open tournament;
