I haven't seen Wawa on TV since the racquet switch. Has he also gone with Yonex apparel & shoes?

Is that lead tape at 9h (and 3h)? I always thought wawrinka uses lead tape at 12h.

cool. Would love to see. 95 looks like a nice stick. 98 with lead could be cool too.

Yes, it is, but it does illustrate why a company like Yonex is prepared to go after players. The kind of people who would buy a quite expensive player's frame like the V-Cores are exactly the kind of people who are influenced by this kind of marketing. Yonex are being pretty aggressive at local level, too, offering great packages for players and coaches at the moment.

He had CAP's on on his TGK so lead placement was a mystery.

I think it is because he forgot to get it from Yonex during the tune-up.

This is exactly what I was thinking, there is no way those were 98's. I seriously thought they were 90-93. Especially weekend at Bernies!

Stan is deffo using the 95 and looking at the pics of Tomic the racket looks like its got less space from the frame to side mains than the 98 has, which is a touch rounder.

Both PJ's imo, it makes sense that Yonex have their main men on their best seller.

The large photo of Stan above shows the "groove" running all the way around the throat, which is a hallmark of the VCORE thing. Might be prostock VCORE 95 rather than paintjob mystery stick. Both VCORE 95 and 98 are quite narrrow in the head compared to other sticks of same headsize, but I agree with you that it's 95 in Stan's case.

Yeah, I was quite surprised to see that groove on Nalby's racket too, I thought he would stick with the hexagonal beam (rdx500mp wasnt it??). They must all be very impressed with these rackets.

The pro stock versions are the same retail racket just individually specced in the factory during the lay up process.

nalby is most likely using a 28" rdis100mp (or earlier) paintjob.

comparing juan monaco's racquet to wawrinka's would be better..

why would it be better? they both have 98" head racquets so it wouldn't make much a difference who we compared it to. Stan's would look smaller on both occasions.

cuz nalbandian's racquet as shown in your picture doesn't look like monaco's even though they are advertised as using the same stick.
juan monaco's is much more isometric/less rounded on sides and at the top

i think wawrinka might be using something 95" but string colors and racquet angles can be deceiving too.

Yes, i believe that if i use the retail version of Yonex Vcore 98d, i will be able to play just like Wawrinka. Of course, i will have to change to 1-handed backhand first, goes without saying.

Sorry but as it has been writen already, Djokovic has been unconsistent for a while after switching, and on the other hand Berdych plaied an old Head Pro stock under the Dunlop PJ you are mentioning.
I can remember Tsonga also, moving like djokovic from the Wilson Blade to Cobra (PJ ?) and then aeropro. He took a while to get used.

I believe that at this level of play, everything is about consistency and perfect symbiosis with your gear, as these guys are looking at any time for the best shot !! (or almost). When you change gear, suddenly your FH drive lands 15cm longer than u expected it, or your topped BH crosscourt passing lands short, your dropshot doesn't feel the same at all or whatever.

Obviously gear is critical for these guys !

You can see the raised step on the inside of the throat. As far as I know the V core is the only edition to do this.

    I think you're wrong there.

Both Berdych & Haas played with the Dunlop pro mold for several years. If I'm not mistaken, it's the mold for the Dunlop 300T today but VS Bab would know for sure.
