From what I heard, Tomic is using the 98d and Wawrinka the 95d.

I suppose all use the 98. No reason to say its the 98 if its the 95. If any of them would use the 95, that is a way to market the 95. Why would Yonex use 4 pros to endorse the 98? They need a new face for the 95 with Hewitt in his last competitive years of pro tennis.

No offense, You cant assume that w/o knowing yonex vcore sales numbers, marketing direction that yonex execs are pushing for and slew of other data that marketers are working with. Lots of people assume that they know more than people actually working for the manufacturer.

Watching stan on tv now in mexico...cant tell what he is using. 3 inches and 1mm beam width difference is hard to see even with hdtv.

If drak is working this week in Del Ray, you're in luck since Tomic is playing.

Drak usually usually comes up with pics, specs and good stories.

I am convinced tomic is with the 98 but it would be cool to see his specs. I have missed all his matches.

Stan just obliterated a bh dtl !

There is no mistery if its 95 or 98 in wawrinkas case. I posted a photo proof if you know what to look for in a photo (hint its black writing for drive) from first tourney before he Got paintjobs over his 95 to look like 98.

Tomić is a mistery until drakulie enlighten us but I believe judging from the photos that its 98.

Of course none of this matters unless we get their flex measured since they both might have custom layup.

We know players get rackets from their companies often before they are released to the general public. Yonex won't officially announce anything until they hit the market. Perhaps, some players are using it now ?

    More than once too.

It made me check out the flex infinity website even... but of course they don't sell their strings on there.

Yesterday I was browsing through Flickr and found pictures of Wawrinka with one of the new Vcore Tours (I'm pretty sure it was the 97), but the photos were deleted today.
I guess he's switching racquet (or paintjob) soon.

Tomic looked good today, besides the loss. Good to see he left Oz and lives in Monte Carlo now. With all the money he's saving on taxes, he can buy more sports cars. ;)

Wawi is going to promote 97 although he is currently still playing with 95 i suspect they wanted him to promote 98 he liked 95 better so they are going to paint it 97 and call it a day :)

I used to talk to the yonex rep that provided racquets to my stringers years ago and he told me back then (2009) that most of the yonex sponsored players started with a stock TI 80 and then yonex worked with the players on weighing and balancing. Obviously if they are using a 95" head, they are not using a TI 80, but it made sense to me at the. he even had pics of elena dmemntaiva when she first switched from prince to yonex on the practice courts and she was using a TI 80. later that year sse was using the RDS yellow paint job on wahtever frame she ended up using, but the rep told me it was not a stock RDS 100

What's the purpose of the white medical tape around the butt area, is he trying to build up a small flare in that area.
