Is tripod allowed in tennis tournaments?

I am going to the Acura Classic finals. I am planning to take the tripod for taking pictures using telephoto lens. I asked the ticket sales rep if tripods are allowed and the answer was negative. I would like to hear your experience.

    Thanks

I was able to carry my monopod with me at the Pacific Life Open this year.

They'll probably stop you if your gear looks "too professional." Might have some issues with a SLR/DSLR and a big 200+ tele.

If you're shooting action shots, unless you're using a professional lens, you have no need for a tripod, as you'll be shooting in the 1/500 + range.
