All gauges, just got my Spin reel. Thought I'd share the news!
Viva La Bargain Basement! LOL8)
Baseline/Sheep has to be the best cheap hybrid ever. Better than many, more expensive combos.
+1. Average spin. Super comfy. Decent playability. What makes this a winner is the obscene price.
Yes, if you like to string your own racquet. From what I gathered from reviews, playability of Baseline Speed drops pretty fast, unless OGSM stabilizes it a bit, maybe?..
the crazy thing about baseline is that if i would order it from tw-usa, end up paying about 40 euro/reel including shipping to austria. if i order it fom the cheapest online store in germany (where i get some discounts with my coaches-license) i still end up paying 55 euro/reel. for this amount i get the mantis power poly with the coaches license, so it is no option, specially since the mpp keeps it going over the entire lifespan.
at less than 40 euro/reel (if i would buy for if i'd live in the us), it still is a string to be considering, as it would keep me going for two sessions (approx. 4 hrs) and then i would be putting some fresh one into the stick.
so far, for me the real surprise has been the blackout from pro's pro, which in europe i get for around 25 euro/reel. and that keeps going for at least three hitting sessions. it's not as smooth as the baseline, but still pretty good and considerably cheaper (basically half the price).
