ITF seniors circuit

    What exactly is the ITF senior's circuit? Are the players considered professionals as is the case with the golf senior tour? Or is it more like the junior's circuit? I assumed it was more or less competitive recreational tennis, but then I saw that there are tournaments on 6 continents in 47 countries and it seems like a pretty big deal.

    Mainly teaching pros and very good amateurs.

    age NTRP

    35's 6.0

    55 5.5

    65 4.5

    70+ 4.0

    80+ 3.5-4.0

    I've played 55+ top 20 who plays and wins open rds, craved me up s+v style. Pretty competitive some of these international seniors.

    Wow, that is pretty high level competition. Just to clearify, they don't get prize money or anything, correct?

    The ATP player Werner Eschauer played in his first ATP final a couple of years ago, and then about 2 years later was playing on the over 35's
