no chance in hell can Nadal go thru both Roddick and Murray.

Djoker is still in suspect form.

it's basically a lock of final between Fed and Murray.

You aren't really going out on a limb in saying that...anyways, everyone has always seemed to doubt Rafa on grass and he's proved them wrong every year so far...

Let's see how his legs hold up after the first week.

  6. Federer-Murray is definitely a possibility if Rafa's knees are weak.

Didn't FO this year teach you anything? There isn't a lock, they have to go out and play matches first.

Dont count your chickens before they are hatched.
RG was the solid proof of the fact that anything can happen on any given day.
Roger won RG but he's far from playing his best tennis and has had no match practice.Nothing is a lock for any GS.

I like Murray a lot but the pressure on him to do well this W is gonna be tremendous, it's gonna be tough on him...

Thats the thing, everyone here thinks Nadal is still a clay-court specialist. His runs to the Wimby final in 06 was fluke because he beat Baghhy. His run was apprently easy in 07 becuase Youhzny and Berdych arent good players. And his run in 08 was fluke because all the other big seeds went out. :) :) :) :)

I think it's gonna be a Fed-Roddick final if indeed Nadal's injury is genuine. Otherwise Fed-Nadal for sure.

it's basically a lock of final between Fed and Murray.Yep.

And Roger Federer will never win the French Open and Rafael Nadal will never win a hardcourt slam..

I think a Federer v Murray final, and all it would entail, would be the best thing that could happen.

After the minor draw change due to Nadal's withdrawal, Del Potro is now in the top half of the draw.

If Del Potro can play on grass as comfortably as he did on clay against Federer at the recent French Open he could well take out Roddick then Murray at the QF and SF changes.

I like Murray over Del Potro on grass. I'd like to see Murray and Roddick. That should be interesting.

To give that some kind of context; going in to RG, DelP was 28-15 on clay with 2 titles to his name. He's 8-5 on grass and hasn't played a competitive match.

Now I'm not saying he can't do the same at Wimbeldon as he did at the French - but it'll be tough for him.

There's no pressure on him and he has a great draw up until the semifinals where he'll possibly collide with Federer.

This is grass court tennis though and anything can happen. I don't think a Murray vs. Federer final is a lock at all. Murray has a tough draw, even Kendrick and Gulbis in the first 2 rounds will be tricky.

Upsets happen, what would you think if after rome someone told you soderling would beat nadal at the french? The fed-murray final is possible, but something tells me murray might fold under all the pressure the media are putting on him, seeing that it's his home grand slam.. I do agree that the fed-murray final is a very probable outcome, but it seems very farfetched to say that it’s certain

I know there is a lot of tennis to be played between now and then, but a Murray v Federer final would also pretty much mean they were playing for the World #1 spot.

With Nadal's withdrawal, he'll drop to 10,735 points.

A Federer win would take him to 11,220.

A Murray win would take him to 10,730.
When his 0 points for Indianapolis drops off in mid July, his 250 for winning Queens would count, and he'd become World #1.

    A lot to play for......

Should it happen the atmosphere will be electrifying on centre court. A male brit since..........Fred Perry(?) going for a Wimbledon title and Roger Federer aiming to smash Sampras's record.

Absolutely, smashing the all time major record along with the French/Wimbledon double in the same year would be huge. To add into the mix a Brit, on the 100th birthday of Fred Perry standing as the last obstacle would be truly special.

The whole Country would stop, streets would be empty.. let's just hope they can both get there!

Thinking about it, the crowd would love a Murray-Federer final more so than a Nadal-Federer.

But the British Media, fans have already jinxed it just the way they did before AO'09. Murray would have been in a better state without all these hype.

Pretty much yeah, the atmosphere throughout the Country would be right up there with England in a World Cup final.

Haha! Which one you going to?

The Hop Farm Festival on that day, looks great:)

Am then going to Latitude and Ben+Jerrys Sundae Festivals later in July!!!

Latitude is the festival of the year, on a great site, but they've picked some rubbish headliners this year:(
