I can't understand 38 lbs. Blows my mind.

But it's reported as a (stock?) Aero Storm.

Steve Johnson and I think maybe Sam Querrey use the Aero Storm Tour?

I strung for Sock at the Sunrise Futures earlier this year.

He started at 40lbs on the first day, and immediately dropped to 38lbs for the remainder of the tournament. Pro Hurricane Tour 17.

It's a retail Aero Storm GT without any visible lead, correct? Thanks.

I for sure can't play with 40lbs of tension I think that's pretty crazy

Huh. When I use my power poly, it is definitely lower powered at 38 than at 50, as I assume you mean it would be overpowered.

If I may ask, what is the racquet between the Head Instinct and the Babs?

    Thank you in advance!

I just got back from stringing up at Indian Wells last night. Jack is using a stock aero storm strung with 16g PHT at 39 lbs. Sam is using a stock APD GT strung with luxilon alu at 63lbs. He was using gut in the crosses at 66, but decided to change because the balls have been flying up there. Hope this helps answer some questions!

Maybe he needs some lead. Pro's ball is so heavy, without some lead on the head, it is very tough to plow thru

Sorry to bump, but does anyone know his actual specs or is it just a stock Aerostorm which seems really unlikely. :)

Drakulie confirmed it is a stock aero storm. The Aero storm is a decently weighted racquet in stock form. Not all pros use 12 oz+ racquets, Nishikori's is only 11.5.

I've been curious to what his specs were. I think he's fairly close to even balance. Never have seen any definitive specs though.

Wilson released 200 Ktours in Japan a few year ago that were exact copies of nishikori's racquet. Weight, balance, and even not having the wilson W right above the throat
