Haha, i think she has three homes, in serbia, miami, and somewhere else. Doubt she needs another one.

so the theory is right. in order to maintain the 3 homes, she gotta save on those grips.

Maybe she just has sweaty hands and couldn't be bothered changing it when it gets dirty?

I'm the same, my overgrips go dirty pretty quickly but there's no point in changing them after a set or whatever just because they are dirty.

after further review of the 2 threads :)
i think i have an asnwer:
she is simply disgusting,,, haha just kidding, i like her alot, lots of personality an asset to WTA IMO
as to why the dirty picks, i have 2 thearies
1 - superstitious, she uses the same racquet and grip throughout what ever length of match play she plays, a suporting picture of this would be if she is playing an actual match with a dirty grip, i have not seen this yet
2 - likes to play with new grips on match day and uses does racquets for practise, support for this most likely theary IMO is that the pictures ive seen of the dirty grip pictures seem to show her while she is at a practise session only; now the reason as to why she would like doing this, might have something to do with this thread, http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=214543 ,
if it was me on thoes pics :) #2 theary would be the reason why,, who amongst us does not like to play an important match with a new/fresh overgrip or grip??

A good white overgrip will keep most of it's grip until it looks disgusting, and that one isn't very dirty.

It's a superstition. She uses the same racket throughout a tournament, including in practice, and she doesn't make any adjustments to it, including chaging the overgrip. It was said a long time ago by the commentators on TV.

No you can't buy them used already. Most likely she goes through the garbage cans around the tennis courts. I think it's quite embarrassing.

You're saying that - unless the strings break in a match presumably - she will use the very same solitary racket for the duration of a tournament?

I think I have the answer to the dirty grips. JJ is a glamour girl and she seems to play with full makeup on. When she sweats and wipes her brow, the grime from the makeup is transferred to her grip thus making it look horrendous.
