Not surprising given that he was playing with the AeroStorm until then.

looks like he is using 16/19, just like Tsonga!

Interesting that neither went for 18/20.

16/19 gives you more spin. they need more spin to keep the ball in court

Judging from tv I like the beam thickness. Does anyone know what the frame will be called?

Jerzy is testing the Pure Strike 100 (16x19). Customized weight and potentially a leather grip but I can't confirm.

OMG, he's going to lose so much POWER and SPIN switching from the APD to that thin-beamed, flexible CONTROL racquet!!!! His rally balls are going to lack depth! His volleys will be without sting! On serve he will lose so much pop!

    ;)
You forget that many pros simply don't have as well developed a sense of feel as most TT posters. Remember, they are used to playing on different surfaces, different continents at different times of day and they don't even get to pick the brand of ball!
Us TT posters play under more controlled conditions (same court, opponent, time of day, etc...). Since our games are completely grooved we feel confident in blaming any shortcomings in our performance on our equipment ;)
