not long now till Big John starts his quest for greatness the big man gave us a glimpse last year in Cincy of what is possible.. taking out Novak and Del Potro before giving Nadal his biggest fright in the North American hard court swing.

With Sir John's booming serve and forehand he is going to be very difficult for anyone to stop in Melbourne this year if everything clicks.

Isners FH looked really good against tsonga. cracked a lot of winners with it, maybe he has worked on it the offseason.

but his serve was really off that day missing most first serves.

I agree. Looking for Big John to pull off a huge upset and make semis. A G.S final is close.

Great post! The fact of the matter is when Big John brings his A game it does not really matter what anyone else does he will prevail I like his chances of doing something special this year, Johnny Mac has pencilled big John in to win Wimbledon.

If Murray makes R4 then Big John has a right good chance. Murray's return hasn't yet returned.

If he can win a 250 on one foot, one can only imagine what he can do in Australia if he can fully recover by then

The question is not if John will run out of gas, but what round will John run out of gas. Best 3 out of 5 plus the heat isn't going to help this guy. He has never gone very far in a slam. Sorry, but I've seen this movie too many times to expect any other result.

He did make the quarters of the US Open in 2011 and the 4th round of the 2010 Australian Open.

Great run in Melbourne for the Servebot. Anyway even fully fit I doubt Isner would have beaten Klizan as he was returning well.

Amazing week from Sir John into the semi finals on IW the rest of to girls will understandably be petrified with his current form and confidence, the match is most certainly on his racket v Novak later on.

Sir John Isner is in fine form as he dispatched Robredo today. On this form Sir John will me a nightmare for anyone in the draw!

If Isner gets by Berd, Roger will finish him. No way Fed allows him to win on clay again.

Berdych is the only guy in the top 8 I could see him beating here, but I bet he loses in 3 tight sets. I hope I'm wrong, would be great momentum getting onto grass.
