I actually watched this match. The commentators were saying that is the top half of a sock that he cut and wore on his forearm.
Yes, because is no Nike sock that has a long swoosh pointing downward.
If anyone still needs help figuring out how to make one, simply take a wristband and turn it inside out. There should be a seam going down the middle. Cut the seam completely and turn the wristband inside out again. There you have it.
Just a tad off topic, but I wanted to share. I got to ballboy for him twice down in Houston for the River Oaks Clay Court Championship. It was really cool meeting him, Sam, and Lleyton. I got pics with all of them, but Isner even gave me and some of my other ballboy friends some of his gear.
