Did anyone see this new young beautiful Serbian Jovana Jaksic's match with Date Krumm in Monterrey?

Almost the whole match she was using the double grunt noises, first a light normal grunt then after contact she added a higher pitched semi shriek which almost sounded like a hiccup.

Date had to deal with this the entire match. But then in the third set Jaksic even added a third grunt sound after the cute hiccup sound. Date finally succumbed 46 in the third after the rain of sound effects by Jaksic which also accompanied fist pumps, air punches, semi Petko Dances.

After it was over Jaksic, the ham of all hams, then broke into a 30 second full Petkodance all over the court complete with fighter waves.

Jaksic takes the cake as the all time showboat of pro tennis. Muhammad Ali would be proud. She's just 20 and ranked around a hundred. Hope she can keep it going, she is a LOT of fun to watch.

There are sports where this conduct is acceptable. Tennis isn't one of them.

Tennis is changing now though, showboats like Djokovic, Azarenka, Fedfoo, Serena, Monfils are brightening the scene.

Heck, even a smiling Federer ran over and high fived Luthi on other side of net after a crazy point he won vs. Kukushkin at Davis Cup this weekend. Never saw Fed showboat like that before.

Tennis times they are a changin

I read your whole post thinking you were criticizing her, until I read your last sentence: "Hope she can keep it going, she is a LOT of fun to watch."

I don't know.. I usually don't like showboating and grunting (who likes grunting?) but I haven't watched her so I can't really judge.

I haven't seen this girl, but I would give her a free pass if she's beautiful.

Okay never mind, the WTA needs to do something about it immediately. This is gamesmanship at its most ridiculous. If it was Sharapova, then it would be okay because she's beautiful.

That picture has been digitally enhanced beyond recognition.

Haven't seen this much airbrushing in a long, long time.

I watched a couple of her matches at a $25,000 tournament here in Phoenix in February, including the final against Tamira Paszek. Jovana saved 14 match points and won 4-6 7-6(11) 7-5. I think her forehand is her best stroke, whereas she seemed to lose confidence in her serve during some parts of the match.

Regarding her noise, yeah it's different, and she changes it up sometimes. Loud and unnecessary in my opinion.

I also saw Lucie Hradecka (CZE), Sofia Arvidsson (SWE), Aleksandra Wozniak (CAN), Gabriela Dabrowski (CAN), Shuko Aoyama (JPN), Mayo Hibi (JPN), Lisa-Maria Moser (AUT), Danielle Lao (USA).

Lucie Hradecka has a huge backhand and serve. However, she was under the weather and lost in the first round to Shuko Aoyama.

I left as a fan of Tamira Paszek.

looked her up on youtube and saw a video of her accepting a trophy then dancing for the crowd. Just seemed weird.

If that's what she likes, cool I guess.. I'd hate to lose a match to her though lol, I'd be so ****ed watching her after.
