Junior tennis Camps in Virginia

I did some searching and found two actuall tennis camps in Virginia. The Nike Tennis Camp at The college of William & Mary being the cheaper one ($492 if I drive there), and some 4-Star tennis camp at UVA I believe, being insanely expensive, but a couple days longer. The Nike Tennis camp was 4 days 9am to 9pm.

I am paying for camp by myself, so I would want something cheaper, and the Nike Tennis camp is a great price for what it is. There have been posts about the Nike Tennis camp in other areas, but I think those were about the adult camps, has any Junior's had experiences with this camp? I plan on going there to get better for my school tennis team.

I really want a lot of tennis court time, and some of these places talk about other things, forgive me but I'm am just really serious about getter better at tennis.

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it. I plan to attend the last camp session.

Camps in VA

There are two tennis camps at the College of William & Mary. One camp is the Nike Camp, run by women's head coach, Kevin Epley. Nike puts their stamp on camps, but I think that they give the coaches basic guidelines and coaches adapt the camp to their style. The Nike camp is under $500, if you don't want room and board. I believe that their extended day camp runs from 9 AM to 9 PM and includes lunch and dinner. (No overnight stay) I don't think that you will be disappointed. The other camp is the Peak Performance and Development Camp run by men's coach, Peter Daub. His camp's registration may be closed--the last session runs from July 5-9. It's the cheapest of all the camps. You may want to look at camps at Old Dominion University or the University of Richmond. Also, living in Hopewell, Two Rivers Country Club in Williamsburg in running a two times a week advanced player's clinic geared to high school students. Two Rivers is just over the Charles City line in James City County on Route 5--not a bad drive from Hopewell. Contact Jack Thompson, head pro at Two Rivers by calling (757) 258-4610, ext 34. Hope that helps!!
